Lotto Lotto numbers for Monday 8th March were; 7, 9, 13, 23 and 30. Four winners matched 4 numbers winning £25 each, Peggy Slane, Oliver Grimes, Shane Bennett and Mulgrew family (Shanroy). Remember lotto is available in all local shops and from all committee members; you can also do the lotto yearly for £45. Jackpot now £19,300. Membership There is a final opportunity this weekend to enrol with the club. The enrolment takes place in the Old School on Saturday from 5.30- 9.00pm and also on Sunday morning from 10.30 -1.30pm. Membership fees are Adult- £25, Child - £5, Family - £50. Youth Minor girls continued their success with a great win over Aghyaran on Saturday at home, 2-7 to 0-4. Next game on Saturday 13th March away to Urney, all girls are asked to attend. U14 boys did well against Dungannon on Saturday but unfortunately lost out by 4 points. Youth Training Minor boys Monday 7.30. Minor girls Monday 7.30 and Wednesday 7.30. U14 boys Wednesday 6.30 and Saturday 10am. U12/14 girls Thursday 6.15 and Saturday 11.30am. Congratulations Congratulations to the Aiden Armstrong, Kieran McGeary, Damien Woods and Anthony McKenna along with their school team Holy Trinity on winning the U16 Ulster championship, the Arthurs Cup. Congratulations also goes to Jane Loughran along with her school team St Patricks Academy who won the U16 A schools Ulster championship. Well done to all involved and best of luck to any of the youth who are taking part in school games at the moment. Congratulations to John Loughran, Michael Mills and Brendan Burns who made the U17 Tyrone development squad, well done boys. Senior Ladies Can all senior ladies who are interested in playing football or being involved at some level for the incoming year, contact Lorraine Girvan, 87759084 or 07507759958, this is crucial for the continuance of the senior ladies. Handball Training continues for youth; U8/U10 – Tuesday, 7.30-8.30. U12/13/14 – Thursday, 6.30-8pm. U15/16/17 – Wednesday, 7.30-9pm. This is a very big week for John Loughran, one of our young handballers as he has two big games ahead of him. The first takes place on Monday night in Beragh, when he takes on Cappagh’s Brian McCrory in the Tyrone junior county final, previously won by Martin Begley and John Hetherington. Then six days later he competes in the U17 Ulster final in Kingscourt. Good luck goes out to John from the whole club. The U10’s were in action on Saturday in Beragh when they took part in the doubles competition, the boys showed great potential. Scor Congratulations to our club member, Andrea Begley, who represented Tyrone in the solo singing event in the Ulster semi-final of Scór Sinsear in Dún Uladh on Saturday night and overcame the opposition from Derry and Donegal. She now goes forward to represent the county in the Ulster final, which will take place in Threemilehouse, County Monaghan, on Saturday, 27th March, with a starting time of 7 o'clock. History The GAA are putting together a history in words of all clubs. Every club has its own unique stories, personalities and experiences. This could be from anyone, supporters, current and formers players, managers, officials and administrators, jersey washers, stewards, drivers, indeed anyone who has ever had any involvement with the GAA. This is not just a story about the famous players and famous matches, but about the grassroots who are responsible for keeping the Association alive.
